The problem of urban fugitive dust can be solved from three aspects: source, process, and supervision.

Source control is crucial. Construction sites should erect enclosures not lower than 2.5 meters, store materials in a sealed manner and cover them with dust-proof nets, and set up vehicle washing facilities at the entrances and exits to ensure that vehicles go on the road clean. During road construction, work in a closed area and equip with watering and spraying equipment to reduce dust, and repair damaged road surfaces in a timely manner. Industrial enterprises should build sealed storage bins, and for those that cannot be sealed, set up windproof and dust suppression nets and spraying facilities.

Process management is equally important. Increase the mechanized sweeping rate of roads, arrange watering frequency reasonably according to the weather and road conditions, and use washing and sweeping vehicles and vacuum equipment. Increase the layout of urban greening, plant a large number of trees, shrubs and lawns in areas with high fugitive dust occurrence, and use vegetation to trap dust.

The supervision aspect cannot be absent. Build a fugitive dust monitoring network, use a laser dust meter for real-time monitoring, analyze data and master the pattern. Law enforcement departments should increase inspection efforts, severely punish violating units and individuals, and also set up reporting channels to invite citizens to jointly manage.

The Particulate Monitor is installed with various key sensors and connected to the Internet of Things access server to comprehensively control environmental factors.

The PM sensor uses laser technology and accurately "captures" fugitive dust according to light scattering. It has three channels outputting simultaneously, with a measurement range of 0 - 10000ug/m3 and excellent accuracy and resolution. The temperature and humidity monitoring unit uses thermoelectric electromotive force and a humidity-sensitive capacitor to provide real-time feedback on temperature and humidity, with accuracies of ±0.5℃ and ±3% respectively and good stability. The wind speed and direction monitoring unit uses a magnetic sensitive induction chip and carbon fiber anemometer cups, has a rapid response and is widely applicable. The noise sensor has high sensitivity, a wide measurement range of 30dB - 130dB and a measurement error of only 3% F.s. The atmospheric pressure sensor accurately presents air pressure changes with a resolution of 0.012mbar.

The Internet of Things access server is based on a high-performance dual-core processor and large-capacity Flash. It has diverse communication methods and flexible networking. It is built to industrial standards, is stable and anti-interference, and also supports remote upgrade and cloud management. Modules can be expanded as needed, and it can be used without worry in remote areas.
