The Internet of Things in Agriculture (IoT) incorporates advanced wireless communication and sensor technologies to apply a data-driven approach to traditional agricultural practices. This technology collects real-time data on key agricultural metrics such as soil, moisture and climate through a network of sensors and sends it to a central IoT platform. Using this data, smart systems are able to automatically regulate the agricultural production process, enabling precise control of the environment in which crops are grown.

Compared with traditional farming methods, the intelligent management of agricultural IoT significantly improves the precision of operations, for example, in the application of fertilisers and irrigation on demand, which not only saves the use of fertilisers and pesticides, but also reduces the burden on the ecological environment. The system is also able to provide instant alerts when unfavourable conditions are encountered and take steps to optimise production strategies, which helps to advance the development of eco-friendly agriculture and enhance agricultural output while reducing the depletion of natural resources and damage to the environment.

The Smart Agricultural Weather Monitoring Station is a compact and highly efficient weather monitoring device tailored for agricultural areas, capable of comprehensively monitoring the weather conditions within the area. This device has real-time monitoring capabilities covering key meteorological indicators such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, barometric pressure and precipitation. The monitoring data can be seamlessly synchronised to the Agricultural Monitoring Information Platform (AMIP) or a user-specified local data platform via 4G network or RS485 communication protocol.

Users can easily access real-time weather data from the field by simply logging into the Agricultural Monitoring Information Platform and entering their account information. Regardless of where they are, users can use this remote access to keep track of meteorological changes in the agricultural planting area, providing immediate and accurate information support for agricultural decision-making.
